Gallant - Sleep On It
팔세토 창법을 잘 구사하는 Gallant의 신곡 'Sleep On It' 입니다.
올 10월 25일 소포모어 앨범 'Sweet Insomnia' 발매를 발표해둔 상태라 한 곡 두 곡 앨범에 실릴
트랙들이 나오겠다 했는데, 하나 둘 씩 신곡이 나오고 있습니다.
2016년 갈란트가 데뷔하고 그의 첫 데뷔앨범 'Ology' 에서의 팔세토창법도 멋있었지만,
좋아하는 멜로디라인과 듣기 쉬운 음악들이라 더 좋아하고 자주 들었었던 기억이 있네요.
Bourbon, 그리고 너무나 좋아하는 가수인 Jhene Aiko의 피쳐링으로 함께한 Skipping Stones는
개인적인 페이보릿 트랙으로서 정말 좋아하는 트랙인데, 이번에 나온 신곡은 이전에 먼저 공개되었던
'Crimes', 'Sharpest Edges' 들보다
제 귀를 즐겁게 해주는 트랙이라고 생각되기도 했고, 그래서 이렇게 소개해드리게 되었습니다.
소포모어 앨범은 데뷔앨범을 성공작으로 이루어 냈어도 힘든 그런 순서의 앨범이라고들 하는데,
과연 갈란트는 어떨런지..가을로 접어들기 시작한 요즘, 하나 둘 좋아하는 친구들의 새노래,
새앨범 소식들로 다시금 음악 듣는 재미가 한동안 꾸준히 이어질 것 같네요.
Spotify 구독을 끊을 수 없는 이유가 이렇게 다시 생깁니다.
